The 3rd International workshop and symposium TransitData in Santiago (Chile), was held on May 22-24th 2017. This event was sponsored by BRT CoE.
Previous events took place in Gifu (Japan) and Boston (USA). The main objective of the event was to continue building a network of researchers on the growing subject of the use of passive data from public transport.
The event had two parts: the first, a Scientific Workshop, held in the Department of Industrial Engineering of the School of Engineering of Universidad de Chile; the second, a Symposium focused on applications of some investigations, that was carried out in the Aula Magna of Centro de Extensión MBA-UC, in Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Further, TransitData 2017 included a tour of Odfjell vineyard and Barrios of Santiago, on Sunday 21th, and a technical visit focused on knowing the public transport system of the city, on Thursday 25th. The activities included an official dinner that gathered the participants of this international event, on Wednesday 24th.
