This International Workshop on BRT will have three main goals
Provide some suggestions for the Transantiago system, particularly regarding BRT corridors. Transantiago is planning exclusive bus corridors in the city, but faces many practical constraints and pretty often also citizen resistance. To reach this goal we will spend the first day of the workshop introducing the main problems that the Transantiago system is facing. During that day we will tour around the city and discuss with some of the main actors of this system (planners, operators, citizens, etc).

Discuss about how to improve the operation performance of a BRT by presenting some of the worldwide experiences and the state of the art research in the field. We will spend the remaining days of the Workshop aiming at this goal, where of course we will also have Transantiago in mind.

Finally, we would also like to provide enough time for networking activities that could foster future collaborations.
