SIBRT Conference of Best Practices in ITS and BRT

The SIBRT Conference of Best Practices in ITS and BRT – Guayaquil 2011, hosted by SIBRT with the support of Metrovía, is a three-day conference joining urban transportation agencies, bus system developers, and international transportation experts to exchange experiences, explore new technological advancements, and reflect on regional strategies. The Conference will be graced with the presence of several well-known specialists from the health community, highlighting the special participation of Dr. Carlos Dora, from the World Health Organization (WHO), and his lecture “The Synergy between Urban Transportation and Public Health.”

The Second General Assembly of SIBRT will follow the Conference and be held on April 28, 2011, in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The Assembly will induct new SIBRT members and continue SIBRT’s work, particularly in the areas of benchmarking and innovation, and communication and image. During this event, SIBRT will launch its new website and the Benchmarking Indicators System, in cooperation with the Across Latitudes and Cultures – Bus Rapid Transit Center of Excellence (ALC-BRT CoE).
