Overview of transit bus emissions: Cases of Mexico, Brazil, and India
This research looks at the cases of Brazil, India, and Mexico to address a common question raised by transit authorities: which vehicle and fuel technologies are best? We have compiled data from a variety of bus tests to demonstrate the role of different fuels and technologies in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) or local air pollutant emissions. This is compared to lifecycle costs of different buses to help agencies understand the implication of switching to new technologies during fleet procurement.
