Transmilenio Bogotá: Evolution and challenges for the future
We propose an updated view of the Transmilenio system, in terms of key performance indicators and its evolution through time. We will discuss the real challenges, in particular related to the capacity of the BRT and the implementation of SITP (Sistema Integrado de Transporte Publico), the new integrated public transport system being implemented in Bogotá. Finally we will present some specific research projects developed by the Urban and Sustainability group at Universidad de Los Andes – Bogotá.
